About
Tyler Malin is CEO and Co-founder of Mālama Labs, a decentralized physical infrastructure network building hardware-verified environmental data infrastructure for carbon removal markets. He trained as a litigator at a large NYC firm and completed a regulatory fellowship at the CFTC before pivoting to build at the intersection of climate systems, blockchain architecture, and legal engineering.
His earlier work includes CTO at ReSeed, where he built verification infrastructure for agricultural carbon markets, and Partner at DeepChain Legal Engineering Labs, where he developed compliance frameworks for digital asset markets. He co-founded Idea Farmer LLC, grew it to the Inc. 500, and sold it to Maker Studios.
At Mālama Labs, Tyler focuses on a specific problem: most environmental data is estimated, not measured. The company's Genesis Hex Nodes deploy directly into CDR project sites, sign every data packet in hardware, and anchor verified records on-chain. The goal is to make carbon removal credible at the scale the market will eventually require.
He holds a JD from Fordham Law School.
