His portfolio oversight spans scalable and durable CDR pathways including biochar, ocean-based methods, enhanced weathering, afforestation, and other emerging innovations. In addition to his role in the U.S., he also serves in a dual capacity at Idemitsu Headquarters, leading carbon-neutral business initiatives with a particular emphasis on carbon credit markets, voluntary and compliance frameworks, and forest-based investments globally.
Prior to joining Idemitsu, Yamato held positions at JPMorgan Chase and Deloitte.
