Carbon Unbound West Coast and Carbon Unbound East Coast are combining into a single North American flagship event, taking place March 23 & 24, 2027.

For the past few years, we've run two North American editions of Carbon Unbound - West Coast in Vancouver and San Francisco, and East Coast in New York. Both have grown fast, and both have played a real role in building the CDR buyer community on this continent.
But as the market has matured, so has our thinking. Splitting the same fast-growing audience base across two separate events, four months apart, meant no single room ever had the full picture; the full set of buyers, developers, financiers, and policymakers who are actually shaping how carbon dioxide removal scales in North America.
22 - 24 March 2027, Vancouver
From 2027, Carbon Unbound North America becomes one flagship event: 23 & 24 March, in Vancouver, with pre-summit workshops programmed on March 22. One week where the entire North American CDR ecosystem is in the same building.
Why now
The CDR market doesn't need more fragmented moments. It needs a small number of high-density ones, where the right people are reliably in the same room. That's what we're building North America toward; the same ambition that already shapes Carbon Unbound Europe and allows us to explore Carbon Unbound Asia. British Columbia has some of the most progressive climate and CDR policy in North America, from carbon pricing to direct government support for removal projects, making it a natural home for these conversations. And beyond the agenda, it's simply a great place to spend a few days: mountains, coastline, and a city built around getting outdoors, right in the heart of downtown (last year our delegates planned a Ski-DR trip in Whistler post summit…).
An Ode to New York
New York holds a special place in our story - it's where Carbon Unbound began, with our first flagship summit in May 2023. It's home to arguably the most comprehensive Climate Week in the world, and we know that community isn't going anywhere.
