Reverion raises $175 million to scale carbon-negative biogas power
German energy technology company Reverion has closed a $175 million Series B led by Kembara, with new investors including Allianz, KfW Capital, and Carbon Equity joining. The capital will fund a new German megafactory scaling production tenfold to 250 MW annually, serving a $2 billion commercial pipeline. Reverion’s containerised solid oxide systems convert biogas into electricity at 74.2% efficiency without combustion, capturing pure biogenic CO2 as a by-product, making power generation carbon-negative. The same systems can run in reverse as electrolysers, making them attractive to data centre operators facing grid capacity constraints.
